Meet the
Chrysalis Crusaders
of 2007
The Chrysalis Center Softball team tradition began in 1983 when the center was called The Greater Hartford Social Club. The players/ members were from the Hartford area, and we began playing pick up games behind Hartford High School. We played against Hospitals, pro-bono lawyers, Wethersfield Motor Vehicle Department, The Genesis Club in Manchester, Hartford Hospital Psychiatry, Capitol Region Mental Health Center, and other Hartford area companies. In 1989 The Chrysalis Crusaders joined The Mental Health Awareness Softball League, with teams from New Haven, Waterbury, East Hartford, Meriden, Middletown, New London and Danbury. We won the championship in 1994, 1996, and 2001. In 2002 Chrysalis Crusaders had the most wins in the season, but lost in the finals.
